Some People Really Are That Damned Stupid™

(Hat tip to Mamamontezz.)

The Department of Give Me A Fucking Break makes sure we get our government RDA of unbelievable, head-stuck-squarely-up-the-ass stupidity with this column about a woman who, during a civil-rights temper tantrum march, Became Offended™ at something the police were doing while maintaining their presence there.

Eating bananas.

I'm going to say that again, just in case you didn't believe your eyes the first time.  This stupid bimbo took offense at two cops who were.  Eating.  Bananas.

Let's let the nice columnist, Tim Chitwood, relay the story.  (Who knows?  Hopefully he won't be too pissed at me because I'm giving him credit for writing about it.)

She [Gwen Stewart] saw two police officers eating bananas as she passed them on a bus going to the Columbus Civic Center, where people gathered for the Jan. 15 march.

Nice li'l snack - kinda like 'em myself from time to time, 'specially when they're just firm & ripe.

The police department that day had sent around a snack van [ED. Note:  Down here, we call it a "roach coach"]  to feed officers working security for the event.

So here comes this person Gwen Stewart on a bus.

(SIDE NOTE:  Another dumb-assed bitch named Stewart.  Why am I not surprised?)

Bus passes the officers, this bimbo gets a gander at what they're eating...and she gets her knickers in a wad over it.

Stewart says she and others found the bananas deeply offensive. She complained to the police and to the mayor, and the mayor sent her a Jan. 22 letter of apology, which she never got because the address was wrong.

Someone explain to me, please, just why in the name of Great Honkin' Cthulu™ City Hall even bothered  with this air-headed trollop?  This so  reminds me of those two bimbos who got their heads handed to them when they sued Southwest Airlines last year.

When I wrote a column about this Jan. 28, I relied on city officials' assessment that Stewart was offended because racists have compared black people to apes, at times, and in the context of a civil rights march, the bananas might be taken as a symbolic slur.

What would she have us do in America?  Ban those foods which personally offend her?  No more watermelon, no more bananas, no more fried chicken and collard greens?  Where in Maitreya's accursed name does it end???

But I've since talked to Stewart twice by phone, and she would not tell me why she was insulted, and apparently she never told the mayor, either. In his letter to Price, Poydasheff writes: "Incidentally, through all of my communication with Mrs. Stewart concerning this matter, she has never told me why she was offended by the officers' conduct."

Stewart tells me she shouldn't have to explain that. People should know why that's offensive, and if they don't, then they need to find out.

But they're not going to find out from her -- even though she's the one complaining about it.

Oh, and is she ever complaining about it.  Thanks to her own incompetence, the City Hall apology never got to her, so she took it one step further.

She wrote her Congresscritter about it.

U.S. Congressman Tom Price has sent Columbus Police Chief Ricky Boren a letter about the banana incident. Price, a Georgia Republican for the 6th District once represented by Newt Gingrich, writes that the woman so offended by officers' eating bananas has contacted his office. He would like Boren to address her complaint and send him copies of any correspondence.

Boren forwarded Price's Feb. 21 letter to Mayor Bob Poydasheff. Poydasheff wrote a response Tuesday. Copies of the mayor's letter to Price will be sent to U.S. Senators Saxby Chambliss and Johnny Isakson, and to Congressmen Sanford Bishop, Phil Gingrey and Lynn Westmoreland. And for all we know, one of them may write back and ask, "What the heck's going on here?"

So these public officials are writing letters about a complaint from someone who won't explain why she complained.

I would be very tempted to dismiss this crap as the rantings of an over-PMS'ed moonbat bitch on the order of the Yahoo group "momscomefirst" (or "momsslurpcome" or whatever they call themselves these days) and be done with it.  "If you don't know why I'm mad, I'm not going to tell you."

But this pissweasel-ette, in my opinion, goes beyond that:  She's flat-out retarded - socially, psychologically...maybe even mentally; I don't know.

I mean, she may very well be looking under every rock for instances of racism that simply - well, here anyway - do not exist.

Or she may be looking at this in a sexual context.  I'd like to show up on her front doorstep with a pitted half-peach - and when she answered the door, lick the inside of the peach and see if she went ballistic.

Wouldn't surprise me.  Some People Really Are That Damned Stupid™...

Cops shouldn't be allowed to eat bananas. They just want them so they can use them to make lewd gestures with the donuts. Don't get me started on the FBI with their filthy hotdogs and bagels.

Fred: It's not a hypersensitivity meter at all.
It's the "how can I take advantage of people and the government to get another free handout meter" She clearly saw a method of get a freebie. Not to mention that lawyers spend a good portion of their time these days looking for reasons to convince someone they should file a lawsuit.
