This says it all, I think

Makes one kinda wish that the Demoscum were right on this one, and it was  really all about the oil.  That way, we might not be paying two-and-a-quarter for a gallon of regular, y'know?

What does he win?

Posted by: Princess Natasha at July 18, 2005 09:05 PM

Judging from that video on his blog (the Rev's) it certainly wasn't because of good looks...

Posted by: Lady Heather at July 18, 2005 09:08 PM

But, seriously, what does he win? A vintage stuffed goat? A trip to Allah's paradise for the 72-year-old virgin---no bombs necessary? A conjugal visit with Saddam? A video of Mikey's mom doing the horizontal mambo with the winos from the local homeless shelter? Inquiring minds want to know!

Dammit, Evil One! I was responding to the little wanker, and you dusted his ass!

Christ, you're a bit of a fat Yank gobshite poof aren't you? Too lily-livered to go and meet the man half way in a fair fight? No wonder we have such a nightmare having to fight alongside you in Iraq.

"Christ, you're a bit of a fat Yank gobshite poof aren't you? "

And why do I get the feeling that you've got quite a pair of love handles that are whiter than your teeth?

(along with greasy hair and poor fashion taste?)

Oh, and don't take the Lord's name in vain, "Mate".

The Cook Islands are lovely this time of year.

in europe $6.20 per gallon is common

Point granted - it could be worse.

The post was multi-faceted.  It was:  1) a humourous way of saying 2) gas is (Europe not withstanding) too high here, and 3) contrary to the "NO BLOOD FOR OIIIIIIL!!!" people, it ain't about the oil.

We're short on trolls lately. Any good nasty, angry wingnut trolls here?

That's because *bad economic policy that makes everything unnecessarily expensive* is common in Europe.

Sorry Gavin, but the only angry trolls around here are of the leftist moonbat variety.

Unfortunately, they aren't very good or very nasty.

However, they are extremely stupid.

Hope that helps......

The output of oil refineries determines price. We fight iraq for our national interests. Our national interest is oil (and sometimes security.) We don't wage war because we're a bunch of U.S. pussy do-gooders that want to end naughtiness. If so we'd be in Sudan killing the Junjuweed. "We fight saddam hussein for the free frlow of crdue oil at market prices" Rush Limbaugh, 1990

Why is it so hard to own up to it. I don't have a problem with it. We better get the oil before the Chinese do.

Sorry Gavin, but the only angry trolls around here are of the leftist moonbat variety.

Thanks, but I'm afraid that wouldn't fill the vacancy. We're leftist moonbats ourselves, so we're really looking for the other flavor of troll. It looks like we just used up our last one.

We have artificial shortages of both refineries and oil wells in the US. The latter includes offshore wells, which we could be building more of in the Gulf, and which provide the added bonus of habitats where marine life thrive. Man, dont'cha hate it when technology is good for wildlife?

Despite all that, Europe still sucks rocks compared to us when it comes to the oil industry.
