Things that make you go "hmmm"...

Item:  William "Bribes, Lies & Videotape" Jefferson's Capitol Hill office gets searched over the weekend by the boys at the FBI.

Item:  In a surprise move, Denny Hastert (RINO-Ill Noise) joins San Fran Nan "Breck Girl" Pelosi in demanding the return of the materials the FBI confiscated.

Item:  Federal officials indicate that Hastert is now part of the investigation, even though DOJ says he's not.

Curiouser and curiouser...

After all these years, surely you are not surprised?

now DOJ is saying that they're not investigating Denny, and Denny's demanding a retraction. ABC is standing by its story.

so... do we believe the notoriously untrustworthy MSM, or do we believe a man who is defending a probable felon against prosecution?????

BKP had a story on Bush ordering the docs sealed for 45 days? What the hell is going on with that?

Ah, decisions, decisions.

BKP had a story on Bush ordering the docs sealed for 45 days? What the hell is going on with that?

Well, BW, as it says here:

Bush's move was described as an attempt to cool off a heated confrontation between his administration and leaders of House leaders of both parties, particularly Speaker Dennis Hastert.

Or, more succinctly, "out of sight, out of mind".  One gets the feeling that Bush thinks the coming investigations into Republicans could be the final nail in the coffin for the GOP for a very  long time, and is trying like Hell™ to defuse the political bomb.

Hey, maybe there's a campaign potential in all of this:

"Vote for me and I will store all of your incriminating evidence in my office where investigators will never look."
