Yup that would probably be good advice. I'm not sure what exactly the situation is, but if you have visitation rights there ought to be some sort of legal remedy... and if not, I doubt you'll ever get her to stop being the asinine jerk you portray her as. Maybe when the boy is 20 you can get try to rebuild the relationship a bit.
Sucks sometimes, but hopefully eventually it will work out for ya.
