Nutscrape: 1994 - 2008
ON THE OUTER RIM, AT THE REALM-EMPIRE BORDER, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS "HOUSTON" - Janet El Reño's favorite Web browser, Netscape - or, as I've been known to call it, Nutscrape (and be honest, when was the last time you looked at the very bottom of this page, hm?), is going toes up on February 1st.
Let us now pause a moment to render the appropriate response to this news.
BWAHHHHH-HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...~!!!!! (guffaw, cackle, snort!!!!!!)

Thank you for your participation in this somber occasion. (snx)

Firefox is better anyway. I haven't used Netscape in years.

Any more wisecracks about Houston being on the "Outer Rim" will result in certain individuals to be reminded that said territories are guarded by trigger-happy pilots who operate several stealth-like vehicles capable of varying levels of mass disturbance.
It will also buy certain individuals repeated "non' invitations!!!!!!
FYI: Firefox is better than Nutscrap on any day of the week that ends in "Y".

You really don't read the bottom of the page, do you, General? :-)
Sad, because part of it was ripped directly from the old Lightspeed Chronicle...you know, Herr Duke's old BBS?

Hey, you didn't invite me this time, either! (chuckle)

As for the invitation thing....I believe it is a FEDERAL regulation that a "flight plan" be submitted PRIOR to said flight taking place.
Ummm, no such plan crossed my desk.
And yes, I do remember the Chronicle. STILL has better reporting even now than the excuse for a newspaper here.
Finally, yes I did read all the way to the bottom of the post. I was just repeating the obvious.

Unless I am mistaken, no flight plan is required if said flight is VFR.

VFR or not, I am informed of all traffic of "significant interest".
I have confirmed that my ATC and Radar Approach Control are 100% operational, so SOMEBODY is either running with a faulty transponder or is INTENTIALLY running without or with it turned off.
Both of which are major "don't even go there" offenses. Last time I checked.
