Another mass killing on campus
As you guys probably know, an asswad dressed in black staged his own St. Valentine's Day massacre in a lecture hall at Northern Illinois University earlier today.
In other words, another mass shooting on another campus...in another state where there are no concealed carry laws and you have to have a permit to even own a gun.
Which is to say, yet another place where the sheep can't legally defend themselves.
Five are dead so far (UPDATE: Seven now - LSI), and one can't help but wonder if that was five seven more than could've been had someone capped the son-of-a-bitch before he started pulling the trigger on the shotgun.
And I doubt I need to point out that this state is home to one of the presidential candidates...and I sure as Hell™ don't need to tell you which one, do I?

Spats, I have an uncle who used to teach at Dekalb. The Dekalb I remember was a quiet town.
I guess this is yet another demonstration of how far our society has fallen.

Okay, now this madness has invaded the heartland. What the ever-luvin flip is wrong here. Spats, I'm goonna have to temporarily disagree with you on this one that this was caused by anti-gun laws there in Illinois. What is the one thing that all these shootings have in common? Answer, a college university campus. What have you, David, myself, Rush, Sean, and Glenn all been screaming for years when it comes to college education lately? Answer: the fact that colleges are not "educating" more so than they are "brainwashing the young skulls full of mush in how to be a good liberal". Like something out of a Stargate SG-1 episode, these young skulls also have apparently been programmed with a trigger word/phrase/event that causes them to turn into mass murders. On the bright side, at least the brainwashers have had enough sense to make the killer turn the gun(s) on themselves and ruin our chance of voting a Darwin Award for them. But at least the gene pool is cleared out.....
Serious though, a closer look into the crap colleges are really teaching these kids needs to be brought out and accountability needs to be placed in that arena as well.
Also, I may have been born in Illinois but as the old adage goes....I got down here to Texas as soon as I could!!!! BTW, my time in Illinois was really because I was a "displaced Texan" more than it was anything else.

General, I'd have to say not that you are wrong but that you are only "part right". Indeed the crap they shove in their heads IS *part* of the problem... but not ALL of the problem. Despite all the massive efforts to brainwash the kids there are still some that grow up to be decent human beings. And those people COULD have done something to reduce the body count if they either A) were willing to break the law too, or B) weren't forced to chose between breaking the law and giving up all chance of defending themselves.
