"If you try to drive, I'll tax the street..."
There have been some stupid ideas come out of city governments lately. Every new smoking ordinance you see pop up in these parts is proof positive of that.
But the proposal that Highland Park, TX just finished tabling is about the stupidest I've ever seen.
For those of you who aren't familiar with Dallas, Mockingbird Lane through Highland Park is a 1½-lane thoroughfare. It's a major challenge to navigate it without sideswiping the car coming the other way.
And they were thinking about making it a toll street.
Fortunately, I never have to do business in Highland Piss, so they'd never get any money out of me. But a few thousand cars a day pass through there, and it's them that would get the shaft from a sorry-assed excuse-for-a-city that really doesn't need the money, y'know?
Stupid bints.
